Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant (Clinical Support Worker) to join ward teams at the Lister Hospital, Stevenage. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to maintain high standards of patient care across various wards.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths.
• Care Certificate.
• Health and Social Care Level 2.
• Experience of healthcare or care work.
• Experience of working with the general public or a range of different people.

Responsibilities

• Communicating effectively with patients
• Supporting Registered Nurses and Midwives in patient care
• Assisting with washing and dressing patients
• Taking physiological observations
• Making beds and maintaining clean patient areas
• Serving meals and helping patients with feeding
• Providing emotional support by listening and talking to patients
