Job summary

Everlast Gyms, part of Frasers Group, is hiring a General Assistant (Cleaner) to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities. You’ll help create a welcoming and safe environment for members by cleaning gym floors, studios, locker rooms, showers and communal areas.

This 20-hour-per-week role offers training, flexible evenings and weekends, and opportunities to grow within the Frasers Group.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, but not essential – full training provided.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation, and safe chemical handling (training provided if needed).
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• A good communicator and team player.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends in line with gym opening hours.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out thorough cleaning of all areas including gym floors, equipment, studios, locker rooms, showers, and communal spaces.
• Sanitising and disinfecting surfaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Emptying bins, replacing liners, and following waste disposal procedures.
• Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies, notifying management when stock is low.
• Working alongside the gym team to deliver a seamless member experience.
• Reporting maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Upholding Everlast Gyms’ cleanliness and safety standards at all times.
