Job summary

Everlast Gyms, part of Frasers Group, is seeking a General Assistant (Cleaner) for a 20-hour-per-week role at our UK club. You will uphold exceptional cleanliness and presentation, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for members and staff alike.

As part of a supportive team, you will handle routine cleaning, stock monitoring, and health and safety practices, with opportunities to progress into broader operational roles within the group.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and reliability are essential.
• Independent, well-organised and proactive.
• Positive attitude with strong work ethic and teamwork.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with others.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Previous cleaning, housekeeping or facilities experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards and safe chemical handling.
• Experience in leisure, hospitality, retail or commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all gym areas, including fitness spaces, studios, changing rooms, showers and common areas.
• Sanitise equipment and surfaces to the highest standards.
• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks and daily compliance checks.
• Empty bins and manage waste disposal procedures.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report stock needs.
• Report maintenance issues and health & safety concerns promptly.
• Support the wider club team to deliver an exceptional member experience.
• Maintain high cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards at all times.
