Job summary

Soho House in London is seeking a Host to warmly welcome members and guests, seat them according to bookings and support the floor team to prepare tables for upcoming reservations.

You will deliver excellent service from initial greeting to seamless seating, while maintaining high hospitality and professional standards across the team. A fast-paced environment and flexible shifts, including weekends, are typical for this role.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in a similar hospitality role.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable and passionate about customer service.
• Demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School.
• Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome each member and guest in a warm, hospitable manner.
• Respond to guest inquiries quickly and courteously.
• Manage Opera/OpenTable to seat members in line with bookings.
• Address member concerns in real time and notify management as needed.
• Build relationships with members and guests; relay feedback to the team.
• Support floor setup and prepare tables with linens and glassware.
• Have strong knowledge of menus to inform on food, drink, allergies, and pairings.
• Resolve complaints with high hospitality standards.
• Maintain discretion when serving VIPs and PWKs.
• Attend briefings, tastings and assist colleagues to ensure team success.
