Job summary

Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd in Ramsgate is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver on a part-time basis. You’ll drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps with energy, warmth and care.

Shifts are planned in advance, with 20 hours per week at £14.73 per hour on a permanent contract. You’ll be the face of Sainsbury’s at delivery, handle vehicle checks, and support store duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Ability to complete driving risk assessments and pass a driving assessment on joining

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps in a timely and friendly manner
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van
• Perform pre-delivery checks on the van and ensure load security
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in various locations and conditions
• Assist with store duties when not delivering
• Maintain excellent customer communication and handle queries
