Job summary

Kingswood Medical Centre in Basildon is seeking a dedicated receptionist/care navigator to join our busy GP practice part-time (25-30 hours over 4 days). Experience in a GP surgery is essential and applicants must be well organized.

You will greet patients, book appointments, process information, support patient registration and act as the central contact for the clinical team while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Adaptable and friendly, with strong administration, time management and organisational skills.
• An excellent communicator able to work in a confidential and discreet manner.
• Able to "think on their feet" in a busy working environment.
• Able to work hard and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure.
• Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients and manage reception duties.
• Use the appointment system to book and manage appointments.
• Process information (electronic and hard copy) accurately.
• Assist patients with registration and provide general support.
• Act as central contact for patients and relay messages.
• Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams and external providers.
