Co-op Funeralcare in Bury is hiring a Funeral Arranger for a 12‑month contract. The role is part‑time (20 hours per week, 4 hours daily, Mon‑Fri 9am–5pm) with a pay rate of £13.47 per hour plus benefits.

Training is provided and duties include client support, arrangement of funerals and maintaining a professional arrangement environment. Applicants should be comfortable with physical aspects of the role and capable of working with various digital systems to manage records, documentation and

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to do basic maths and cash handling.
• Attention to regulatory policies and accuracy.
• Good IT skills across devices and apps.
• Empathy, discretion and care in dealing with clients and the deceased.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with clients and the community.
• Assist clients in person and by phone with arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming and report maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work to Funeral Plan Arrangers and assist with manual handling of coffins.
