Job summary

The CFO HQ in Nash Mills, Hertfordshire, UK, is seeking a Part Time Financial Controller to own the finance function within a growing SME book distributor. You will work closely with Directors, providing strategic financial oversight while staying hands-on in daily finance activities and operational support.

Three days per week, with a pro-rata salary of £65,000–£70,000 per annum. A senior, commercially minded candidate is required to lead budgeting, cashflow, and finance operations.

Qualifications

• CIMA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven senior accounting or finance management experience.
• Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and management reporting knowledge.
• Payroll processes and tax planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the company's finance function.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and reporting; manage budgets.
• Provide management accounts and ad hoc financial reporting to Directors.
• Oversee payroll with external payroll provider; support finance staff.
• Liaise with auditors and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor credit control and funding arrangements; manage debtor reporting.
