Job summary

Securewest International is seeking a Part-time Finance Manager to join the Senior Management Team in Plymouth. You will manage day-to-day finances, payroll, VAT, and monthly management accounts while ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

You will work closely with external accountants and HMRC, handling reconciliations, cashflow monitoring, and financial controls with attention to detail and independence in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior bookkeeping role.
• Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software.
• Experience processing payroll and VAT submissions.
• Good understanding of month-end processes and reconciliations.
• Experience liaising with HMRC and external accountants.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day accounting using Xero, bank reconciliations, journals and monthly management accounts.
• Payroll processing and statutory submissions.
• VAT returns and compliant handling of VAT matters.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support cashflow monitoring.
