Job summary

Northamptonshire Arts Management Trust (NAMT) is seeking a meticulous Finance Assistant to join the finance team. You will handle day-to-day purchase ledger tasks, support payment runs, and contribute to month-end processes in a creative theatre environment.

The role requires accuracy, numeracy and strong IT skills, with a proactive approach to administration. NAMT offers a supportive team, development opportunities and engagement with arts programming.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of Purchase Ledger administration
• Experience of computerised systems
• Experience of implementing / maintaining administrative systems/procedures
• Attending meetings and producing accurate minutes
• Understanding of computerised sales ledger

Responsibilities

• Undertake administrative duties associated with processing of purchase orders, invoices and credit notes
• Prepare BACS runs for payment
• Cash handling and banking imports for NTT (Sales and Customer Experience)
• Control and perform petty cash administration
• Assist Finance Team with general administration
• Provide holiday and sickness cover within the Finance Team
• Support Month End schedules (Accruals, Pre-Payments)
• Assist with annual external audit
• Ad-hoc sales invoicing
