Job summary

NatCen is seeking field interviewers to visit people in their homes across the UK, guiding conversations on health, housing and transport. You’ll use a tablet or laptop to capture real experiences, or knock on doors at assigned areas, explaining the study and inviting participation.

When someone says yes, you help create change that improves people’s lives. This role is not a desk job and requires flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Essential: Verbal and written English
• Strong communication skills and ability to guide conversations
• Good time management and independence
• Comfortable using basic technology and a laptop/tablet

Responsibilities

• Visit people in their homes to conduct vital research interviews on topics like health, housing and transport.
• Use a tablet or laptop to guide conversations and capture experiences of daily life in Britain.
• Be out in the community, knocking on doors and managing varied responses.
• Deliver interviews and contribute to research outcomes that inform changes for people’s lives.
