Job summary

NatCen in Enfield seeks Field Interviewers for part-time, home-based research interviews across health, housing and transport. You will visit people’s homes, obtain consent, and guide conversations using a tablet or laptop.

This hands-on role involves being out in the community, knocking on doors and working around weekdays, evenings and weekends. You don’t need prior research experience; reliability and strong English are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Class 1 Business insurance
• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to complete a DBS check
• Reliable home broadband
• Laptop or tablet with camera
• Comfortable using basic technology
• At least 18 hours available per week
• Flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends
• Strong verbal and written English

Responsibilities

• Visit people in their homes to carry out vital research interviews on topics like health, housing and transport.
• Using a tablet or laptop, guide conversations that capture real experiences of daily life in Britain.
• This is not a desk job; you'll be out in your community, knocking on doors.
