Job summary

NatCen in Edgware invites you to join our Field Interviewers team as a part-time Field Interviewer. You will visit people in their homes to conduct vital research interviews on topics such as health, housing and transport, using a tablet or laptop to guide conversations that capture real life experiences in Britain.

This frontline role is not desk-based. You will be out in the community, knocking on doors, with some households saying yes and sharing their stories.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Class 1 Business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to complete a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband.
• Laptop or tablet with camera.
• Comfortable using basic technology.
• At least 18 hours available per week.
• Flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Visit people in their homes to conduct interviews.
• Use a tablet or laptop to guide conversations and capture responses.
• Travel to the area you are working in and knock on doors.
• Record experiences of daily life in Britain and gather accurate data.
• Support research aims by delivering reliable interview data.
