Job summary

NatCen, the UK’s largest independent social research organisation, seeks a Field Interviewer in Southall for part-time home interviews. You’ll visit households, conduct interviews on health, housing and transport, and guide conversations with sensitivity.

Using a tablet or laptop, you’ll record real experiences that inform policy and public services. Flexible, part-time hours and community-based work are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car are required.
• Class 1 business insurance is required.
• Right to work in the UK is required.
• Willingness to complete a DBS check is required.
• Reliable home broadband is essential.
• Laptop or tablet with camera is required.
• Comfort using basic technology is essential.
• At least 18 hours available per week.
• Flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Visit people in their homes to carry out vital research interviews on topics like health, housing and transport.
