Job summary

Capita is recruiting for a part-time Cleaner at the Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre. The role involves daily cleaning across the facility, including Core Custody Areas, with a 28-hour week (Mon & Fri eight hours; Tue–Thu four hours per day). Temporary contract.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles.
• Able to work with others to deliver a reliable cleaning service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically capable of a cleaning role.
• Willingness to follow health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily, general and emergency cleaning across the facility, including Core Custody Areas, toilets and welfare areas.
• Plan work within core hours to maintain high hygiene standards with minimal disruption.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is in good order.
• Report faults and issues to the Site Manager promptly.
• Follow safety procedures and COSHH regulations; switch off lights when not needed.
