Job summary

City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Facilities Technician for the Ratho Early Years site. The role is 12 hours per week with a pro rata salary of £27,257–£29,850, depending on part-time status. Duties include maintenance, housekeeping, security, and supporting events.

The post requires PVG clearance and pre-employment checks. Flexible working may be discussed. Applicants will work under a Service Level Agreement with City policies.

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme membership or PVG update check is required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Equipment and furniture and fitting maintenance
• Building maintenance and services
• Security of premises and grounds
• Grounds maintenance
• Cleaning / Tidying
• Undertake minor maintenance and repairs to equipment in accordance with good practice and procedures
• General porterage duties, including moving furniture for events, performances, exams, meetings
• The post-holder will undertake any other duties arising and reasonably pertaining to the post.
