The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Facilities Technician at James Gillespie's High School on a fixed-term contract until 28 February 2027. The role covers day-to-day FM, janitorial and maintenance tasks across school buildings, with a 36-hour week and a 3-week rota.

Salary ranges from £27,257 to £29,850 per annum, pro-rata for part-time staff, with flexible hours to suit morning, daytime or evening shifts, and the potential for progression within a secure, pension-backed employer.

Qualifications

• Day to day FM, janitorial and DIY operations across one or more buildings, from small repairs and general maintenance to reactive cleaning, supporting moves and basic security functions.
