Job summary

Cooper Parry is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Officer to support day-to-day upkeep of Midlands sites, primarily Castle Donington. The role is part-time (22.5 hours across 3 days) with some flexible arrangements and close collaboration with the Midlands Facilities Team Lead.

You will handle general maintenance, small repairs, and routine checks, while ensuring safety and a presentable environment. The position offers flexible work patterns and diverse daily tasks within a dynamic office setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities, or building services in a hands-on role.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Strong problem-solving, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of health and safety in maintenance work.
• Experience working across multiple sites is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs (doors, fixtures, fittings).
• Paint, decorate and touch-up areas as required.
• Carry out basic repairs (bulbs, fuses, etc.).
• Respond to maintenance requests and resolve issues across Midlands sites.
• Maintain external areas including car parks, patios and landscaping.
• Support with PAT testing and generator checks where needed.
• Complete planned maintenance tasks and routine site checks.
• Escalate complex works to specialists and coordinate with contractors.
