Job summary

W Talent are exclusively representing a well-established manufacturing company that seeks a permanent Handyman to support day-to-day maintenance across two sites in Nottingham. You will work with the Engineering Supervisor to carry out routine facility and compliance checks, perform basic repairs, identify faults, and record work.

The role suits a practical, hands-on person who can work independently and take ownership of site condition and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in handyman, caretaker, facilities or building maintenance.
• Practical, hands-on approach with ability to carry out basic repairs.
• Experience maintaining buildings, facilities or site infrastructure.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Ability to identify hazards and faults and document checks accurately.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general handyman and basic maintenance tasks across two sites.
• Complete routine facility and compliance checks.
• Record checks such as legionella, water testing, meter readings and antifreeze levels.
• Carry out emergency lighting, fire door and fire alarm checks.
• Escalate complex issues to the Engineering Supervisor and liaise with external contractors.
• Maintain stock and ensure tools and equipment are stored correctly.
• Support audits and keep logs, checklists and maintenance records up to date.
