Job summary

Facilities Assistant (Domestic) at Fairfield General Hospital is part of the Trust's Facilities team, delivering cleaning across inpatient and community settings. The role involves following cleaning schedules and ensuring infection control and health and safety practices are observed, with duties across wards, clinics, and admin areas.

The post works 14:30–20:00, 5 hours per day, 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and requires attendance at mandatory training.

Qualifications

• Carry out tasks in line with Trust policy, national cleaning standards and local instruction.
• Ensure infection control, COSHH and health and safety procedures are followed.
• Dispose of all waste safely and in accordance with Trust guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive cleaning service for Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.
• Work across in-patient and/or community settings as assigned (wards, clinics or admin areas).
• Follow cleaning schedules to maintain required cleanliness levels at all times.
• Attend mandatory training including fire safety, moving and handling, and infection control.
