Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Facilities Assistant to perform domestic cleaning duties in our outpatients areas. The role is part of the Facilities team, with training provided and a shift pattern Monday to Friday 13:00–17:00.

Applicants should have some cleaning experience; right to work in the UK should be verified. Salary £24,465 pro rata (£13.45 per hour) with usual NHS terms.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or facilities support.
• Understand hygiene and safety basics.

Responsibilities

• Clean surfaces and fixtures in outpatients areas to required standards.
• Maintain clear work areas and report faults or hazards.
• Assist with waste disposal and linen replenishment.
• Support the Facilities team with ad-hoc cleaning tasks as needed.
