Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Facilities Assistant (Periodic) to support the Fairfield General Hospital and Royal Oldham Hospital sites. The role covers periodic cleaning, heavy cleaning and travel across the Trust footprint.

You will join the Facilities team and help meet National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021. The post requires a full UK driving license and the ability to work across designated sites on a 37.5-hour rota, including weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or équivalent and driving license required.
• Experience in cleaning services and COSHH.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety techniques.
• Experience applying NHS National Cleaning standards.
• Good communication and IT skills; reliable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out tasks in line with Trust policy and national cleaning standards.
• Carpet cleaning.
• Cleaning ceilings / walls.
• Curtain changing.
• Rota washing/buffing floors.
• Cleaning ventilation grills and radiators.
• Respond to ad hoc requests (e.g., urgent delivery).
• Ensure infection control procedures are followed.
