Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council seeks an enthusiastic Early Learning and Childcare Support Worker to help develop young children. Role based at Millburn ELC, 14 hours per week across Thursday and Friday, 52 weeks per year. Temporary for 1 year, with charitable and safeguarding responsibilities.

Applicants must register with the SSSC as a support worker and hold one of the listed qualifications, or be willing to obtain one. Salary £13.80–£14.83 per hour.

Qualifications

• This post requires registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a support worker.
• Candidates must hold a relevant qualification listed above.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of young children within Early Learning and Childcare establishments.
• Work as an effective member of the ELC team to deliver a high-quality service.
• Assist with recruitment checks and PVG scheme processes as required.

SVQ 2 Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 6
