Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking an Early Learning Support Worker (Part Time) to assist in delivering early learning and childcare. You will support lunchtimes, work with groups of children and help organise playrooms.

The role requires undertaking the SSSC qualification: NC Childhood Practice SCQF6 or SVQ CYP SCQF6, or equivalent. Experience with children and effective communication with children and adults is essential.

Qualifications

• Must undertake the required qualification in early learning and childcare per SSSC: NC Childhood Practice SCQF level 6 or SVQ Social Services (CYP) SCQF level 6 or equivalent.
• Experience with children and young people; ability to communicate with children and adults; caring, responsive, and aware of young children’s needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursery officers in delivering early learning and childcare.
• Support lunchtimes and supervise play activities.
• Work with individuals or groups of children and help organise playrooms.
