Job summary

Keystone Academy Trust is recruiting for a part-time Nursery practitioner at Long Sutton Primary School Nursery. The role focuses on delivering high-quality early years experiences within a dedicated team, fostering child-centered play and safeguarding.

You will build strong relationships with families, support development across the EYFS, and participate in safeguarding with yearly updates. The position runs 5 hours per week during term time with potential for ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Level 2 qualification in childcare (must be full and relevant)
• Safeguarding training updated yearly
• Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework
• Candidates with at least one of: Vocational Qualification Level 2, NVQ Level 2 in childcare or equivalent, Cache Level 2 Diploma in Childcare are welcome

Responsibilities

• Building excellent relationships with parents and carers and developing strong partnerships with families
• Contributing to planning learning opportunities and activities to support children to make progress in all areas of development
• Meeting individual needs of children through child centered learning and play, ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our children
• Engaging with Tapestry to communicate with families and parents and to supplement professional knowledge of the child to contribute to accurate assessments in the 7 areas of learning
• Providing a safe, happy and stimulating Nursery environment that promotes respectful relationships that enable the voice of the child to be expressed and heard
• Working as part of a wider Nursery team, communicating effectively with colleagues
• Supporting children with SEND and delivering specific interventions and strategies
• Attend staff meetings, parents evenings, open day events and wider school community events
• Promote the nursery to new families, the community and being a champion for the setting
• Part Time 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday term time plus inset days. Fixed Term Contract until 31.08.2026
