Job summary

Long Sutton Primary School is hiring a Nursery Worker on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2026. The role involves delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, planning play-based learning and assessing progress using Tapestry.

You will work 5 hours per week in term time, support children with SEND, build strong partnerships with families and contribute to a welcoming, safe nursery environment. Attendance at staff events is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Early Years or childcare qualification.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver EYFS framework and provide high-quality care.
• Plan play-based learning and assess progress.
• Build relationships with parents and carers; develop partnerships.
• Use Tapestry to communicate with families and record progress.
• Provide a safe, stimulating environment; support SEND and interventions.
• Work with nursery team; attend staff meetings and events.
• Promote the nursery to families and the wider community.
