Job summary

Peterborough College is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years educator to deliver high-quality teaching across Levels 1 to 4. You will assess learners, set SMART targets, and provide tutorials and support to help students progress into employment or further study.

The role requires a Level 5 teaching qualification, an assessor award, and a Level 3+ Early Years qualification, with a commitment to inclusive, engaging learning and the embedding of English, maths and digital skills throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and knowledgeable Early Years professional with recent industry experience.
• Ability to inspire learners through engaging and innovative teaching.
• Strong understanding of current sector practices and effective teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across Early Years programmes from Levels 1 to 4.
• Assess learner work and provide constructive, timely feedback.
• Set, monitor and review SMART targets to support student progress.
• Deliver academic tutorials and personalised learner support.
• Develop schemes of work, teaching resources and course materials.
• Contribute to the design, review and development of curriculum programmes.
• Undertake assessment, internal verification and quality assurance activities.
• Support learners in securing and completing meaningful work experience placements.
• Participate in student recruitment, open events and enrolment activities.
• Embed English, maths and digital technologies into teaching and learning.
