Job summary

Coventry University Scarborough Campus is seeking a Part-Time Domestic Assistant to join our facilities team in Scarborough, YO11 2JW. This role offers 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3:00pm–6:00pm, on a part-time basis.

You will perform cleaning duties across communal areas, adhere to COSHH and health & safety requirements, and report concerns to the Domestic Team Leader. The successful candidate will be reliable, hardworking and capable of working with initiative as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a full range of cleaning duties as directed, including communal areas, stairs, corridors and lift entrances.

• Report any concerns to the Domestic Team Leader.

The Role

• Undertake a full range of cleaning duties as directed on a day-to-day basis. Clean communal areas, stairs, corridors and lift entrances. Empty waste bins and remove rubbish to the appropriate collection points. Use a range of cleaning equipment and materials in accordance with agreed specifications and work schedules. Ensure all cleaning is completed to an excellent standard. Clean a variety of surfaces, fixtures and fittings using appropriate methods, equipment and materials. Report any concerns or queries to the Domestic Team Leader.
• Comply with all COSHH and Health & Safety requirements.
• Skills and Experience We are looking for someone who: Is able to undertake a range of manual cleaning activities. Is reliable, hardworking and self-motivated. Can use their own initiative. Works well as part of a team. Has excellent communication skills. Has excellent customer service skills. Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
