Job summary

thefutureworks are currently recruiting a Part-Time Domestic Assistant to join our team at Coventry University Scarborough Campus. Location: Scarborough, YO11 2JW.

As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the campus and ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. Duties include cleaning communal areas, reporting issues, and complying with COSHH and Health & Safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Is able to undertake a range of manual cleaning activities.
• Is reliable, hardworking and self-motivated.
• Can use their own initiative and works well as part of a team.
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a full range of cleaning duties as directed on a day-to-day basis.
• Clean communal areas, stairs, corridors and lift entrances.
• Empty waste bins and remove rubbish to the appropriate collection points.
• Use a range of cleaning equipment and materials in accordance with agreed specifications and work schedules.
• Ensure all cleaning is completed to an excellent standard.
• Clean a variety of surfaces, fixtures and fittings using appropriate methods, equipment and materials.
• Report any concerns or queries to the Domestic Team Leader.
• Comply with all COSHH and Health & Safety requirements.

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-6:00pm

Contract: Part-time

The Role
