Job summary

Acorns Children’s Hospice is seeking a Deputy Community Store Manager for Erdington Superstore in Birmingham. This part-time role (15 hours/week) supports the Superstore Manager to drive performance, manage stock and pricing, and lead volunteers to deliver a strong retail and fundraising operation.

You will work weekends and engage in a fast-paced environment handling donated stock and new goods, while ensuring exceptional customer experiences and contributing to Gift Aid efforts.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and experience of working towards targets.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• IT skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Superstore Manager to create an exciting shop floor experience.
• Make decisions about stock, pricing and merchandising style.
• Motivate and inspire a team of volunteers.
• Drive sales by encouraging donations, purchases and gift aid.
• Inspire the team to exceed targets.
