Job summary

Weston Hospicecare Limited is seeking a Deputy Store Manager for the High Street shop in Weston-super-Mare (BS23 1JF). The role is permanent/part time, 15 hours per week, including alternate weekends and bank holidays, with a salary of £25,565 per annum pro rata for part-time work.

The successful candidate will support the store manager, lead a small team of staff and volunteers, and help maintain outstanding customer service while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in day-to-day management of a shop, including stock management, merchandising, health and safety and financial procedures.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products desirable.
• Enhance DBS certificate for supervising volunteers under 18.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards to provide customers and donors with excellent shopping service.
• Assist in managing a team of paid staff and volunteers, including promoting volunteer recruitment.
• Maintain good relations with the public, retail and logistics teams and Hospice colleagues.
• Complete necessary paperwork and work as part of the Retail Hospice Team.
