Job summary

Co-op Whitburn is hiring a Customer Team Member to join a friendly local store. You’ll deliver friendly, helpful service on the shop floor and tills, and you’ll help keep shelves stocked for customers.

Shift pattern is Tuesday to Saturday, 4:15pm to 10:15pm with regular overtime and weekend flexibility. You’ll receive full training and become part of a community-focused team that promotes Co-op Membership.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for helping people and delivering great customer service.
• The ability to work flexibly across a number of shifts and as part of a team.
• An interest in retail and working in a busy store environment (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and thoughtful service to customers and resolve issues.
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, and contribute to daily operations.
• Help maintain store performance by keeping shelves stocked and checking prices, dates, and stock accuracy.
• Make sure the store safe and legal - keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be.
• Promote Co-op Membership and support your local community.
