Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring Waitrose quality and Partner-led service to customers’ doors. You will start in-store, check routes, load the van, and deliver with high customer service at the forefront.

Role includes lifting tasks, independent work, and potential flexible hours. Part-time shifts on Fridays and Saturdays; 07:00–15:00, with early starts and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Valid UK manual driving licence (B category) with no more than 6 points.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good time management abilities.
• Able to handle physical tasks (lifting crates, moving cages).
• Self-motivated and adaptable.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily delivery routes and check them at the start of each day.
• Load and prepare the delivery van, ensuring orders are ready for direct to customer delivery.
• Perform vehicle safety checks and ensure road compliance and safety.
• Represent Waitrose as a brand ambassador, delivering excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport through service.
• Support the shop team with general tasks as needed.
