Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking 10 permanent Grade 4 Community Support Workers for Care4CE – Wilmslow Supported Living Network. Posts are 21 hours per week at £13.70–£13.92 per hour, with enhanced pay, including weekends, bank holidays, and Christmas/Boxing Day bonuses.

Flexible shifts and driving licence required to support tenants across the borough. The role focuses on person-centred care, independence, and helping tenants live with dignity.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and alternating weekends.
• Valid licence to drive fleet vehicle for tenant support across the borough.
• Desirable: NVQ Level 2 in Social Care, knowledge of safeguarding, safer handling, and first aid.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and support.
• Support with personal care, including washing, dressing, and dental hygiene.
• Assist tenants with everyday tasks such as cleaning, shopping, meal prep, and managing finances.
• Support with medication and accessing community services, including GP and hospital appointments.
• Keep clear and accurate care records and assist with care planning as a key worker.
• Help tenants stay connected with family and participate in social activities.
