Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a part-time Healthcare Support Worker (22.5 hours per week) to join our community nursing team. You will assist with home visits, support patients, and work under a registered nurse, delivering care within your scope and ensuring safe practice.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required. The post includes phlebotomy, diabetic care, wound and catheter care, vital signs, and specimen handling.

Qualifications

• GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified staff in community-based care delivery.
• Undertake phlebotomy for patients at home.
• Provide diabetic care including blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration.
• Undertake wound and leg ulcer care.
• Catheter care and re-catheterisation.
• Record vital observations and communicate with the team.
