Job summary

MHA is seeking a Community Co-ordinator based in Hampshire West. The role involves coordinating and delivering a programme of activities to reduce isolation among older people, with travel around the district and a requirement to have access to a car.

The post requires 18 hours per week (part-time) and will involve running groups such as exercise and craft sessions in Ringwood, among other community activities.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating community activities.
• Willingness to deliver food-based activities (e.g. cooking) when required.
• Full driving licence and access to a car for travel across the district.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and run a programme of activities in Hampshire West.
• Deliver and help run exercise and craft groups (e.g. Ringwood).
• Develop new activities based on community feedback and needs.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote wellbeing and reduce isolation.
