Job summary

Hazelwick School is seeking a dedicated Communications Support Assistant to work with D/deaf students in our Specialist Inclusion Base. This part-time, permanent role is based on approximately 18 hours and 25 minutes per week, with shifts 8.20am to 3pm, term time only.

Starting salary is £11,272 per annum, inclusive of Crawley Market Supplement. You will support students in lessons, assist 1:1 and small group intervention sessions, and may work towards BSL training up to level 2.

Qualifications

• Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience working with young D/deaf people is advantageous.
• Willingness to undertake BSL training.

Responsibilities

• Support students in lessons and provide 1:1 support and small group sessions.
• Assist with classroom activities and curriculum access for D/deaf students.
• Participate in further training and safeguarding responsibilities.
