Job summary

Splendid Care is seeking a Part Time Clinical Trainer to develop and deliver a mandatory clinical training programme across all Splendid Care homes. The role is based at Tylden House in Warnham and reports to Head of Nursing and Clinical Risk.

You will plan and deliver topics such as safeguarding, infection control, PEG/venipuncture and support inductions for new starters, with a rolling training calendar and diligent record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering training in a health or social care setting.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and CQC standards.
• Confident in group facilitation and presentations.
• Ability to plan and manage a training calendar independently.
• NMC registration and a train-the-trainer or L&D qualification.
• Experience using a learning management system (LMS).

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and deliver a face-to-face clinical and mandatory training programme for all Splendid Care homes.
• Deliver core topics including safeguarding adults, Oliver McGowan Tier 1, infection control and oral care.
• Manage the Splendid Way induction programme for new starters.
• Build and maintain a rolling training calendar and session materials, and coordinate attendance with home managers.
• Maintain accurate training records on the group's internal training system, ensuring reporting and compliance.
• Identify training needs from audits, incident trends and CQC requirements.
• Keep training content aligned to current legislation and best practice guidance.
