Job summary

Birmingham Hospice invites applications for a part-time Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 6) to join the Community Team based at Selly Park, with occasional cross-site cover in Erdington. You will deliver specialist palliative care in the community, travel across the city as needed, and manage a caseload with autonomous practice.

Qualifications

• Level 1 Adult registered nurse with current NMC registration.
• Post-registration qualification in palliative care or willingness to undertake.
• Senior nurse level experience including clinical teaching (informal and formal).
• Advanced experience in acute hospital or hospice settings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist palliative care nursing services to patients, families and health professionals.
• Analyse complex situations and develop action plans to improve patient care quality.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary teamwork and maintain high standards of care.
• Manage a community caseload with autonomous practice.
