Job summary

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, is seeking a part-time Clinical Coding Support Officer (18 hours/week) on a fixed-term 12-month basis. Salary £26,300 per annum pro rata, with Welsh language considerations and flexible working discussions.

Responsibilities

• To assist in locating casenotes required by The Clinical Coding Department.
• To work closely with Clinical Coding Co-ordinator and all Clinical Coding staff.
• To develop good working relationships with secretarial and other staff who handle health records.
• To assist in the tracking of casenotes into and out of The Coding Department.
• To return casenotes to other departments where applicable.
• To provide annual leave/sickness cover for the Clinical Coding Support Officer.
• Maintain Confidentiality, adhering to the guidelines laid down by The Information Governance Department.
