Job summary

British Garden Centres is seeking skilled Chefs/Cooks for a part-time role in Tarporley. You will prepare meals to the menu, deliver timely dishes, and maintain quality in a busy kitchen. The role offers a 28-hour workweek including weekends, with no evening shifts, and a family-owned business environment.

The ideal candidate has kitchen experience, can work to specs, and possesses HACCP knowledge. Training and opportunities to create specials and home baking are possible.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a busy kitchen.
• Creative at making dishes but also able to work to specs.
• Experience of cooking carvery is an advantage.
• Knowledge of HACCP.
• Able to manage multiple orders.
• Professionalism and reliability.
• Remain calm under pressure.
• Good time management.
• Level 3 basic food hygiene is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• The taking of deliveries.
• Food preparation.
• Producing specials.
• Prepare, cook, and present food quickly and efficiently to a high standard.
• Monitor portion size and waste.
