Job summary

Devon Air Ambulance Trust based in Exeter is seeking a proactive Retail Logistics Assistant for our Marsh Barton warehouse. You will drive the charity’s vehicles around Devon, assist with loading/unloading, and help deliver stock to our charity shops across the region.

The role requires self-motivation and excellent interpersonal skills, with prior experience in a similar setting and a readiness for the ever-changing world of charity retailing.

Qualifications

• We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated and has excellent interpersonal communication and customer care skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role is required with good problem-solving ability and a readiness for the ever-changing challenge that is charity retailing!

Responsibilities

• Driving the Charity's vehicles including a van around Devon.
• Physical ability to perform manual handling and lifting when required, ensuring safety standards are met.
• Providing cover in the absence of the Retail Logistics Support Officer (RLSO).
• Liaising with staff, volunteers, fundraisers and members of the public to arrange collections and deliveries.
• Maintaining accurate records of stock movement and stock holding.
• Assisting and supporting RLSO with managing collections and deliveries of stock for shops, promotional literature, materials and equipment, in a timely and cost-effective manner.
