Driver Hire in Exeter is recruiting a Retail Logistics Assistant to support both the logistics warehouse and retail operations across Devon. You will help with the delivery and collection of stock between shops, handling various goods from clothing to larger items.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, physical fitness for manual handling, and flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays. You will work part-time at 22.5 hours per week with a flexible pattern and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Completed 90 days commercial driving within the last 6 months.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual handling duties.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends and bank holidays.
• Experience in logistics, delivery driving, warehouse or retail is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect stock between retail locations across Devon.
• Safely transport a variety of items.
• Load and unload vehicles, ensuring stock is handled carefully and securely.
• Support stock rotation and stock management processes.
• Maintain accurate stock and delivery records.
• Assist with warehouse and retail logistics operations.
• Handle cash and complete associated paperwork when required.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the organisation.

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our valued customers for a Retail Logistics Assistant position based in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, staying active, driving, and supporting retail operations across Devon.

The role offers 22.5 hours per week with a flexible working schedule, including weekends and bank holidays as required.

About the Role

As a Retail Logistics Assistant, you will support both the logistics warehouse and retail operations by assisting with the delivery and collection of stock between shops across Devon. No two days are the same, as you could be transporting anything from clothing and household goods to larger furniture items.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect stock between retail locations across Devon.
• Safely transport a variety of items.
• Load and unload vehicles, ensuring stock is handled carefully and securely.
• Support stock rotation and stock management processes.
• Maintain accurate stock and delivery records.
• Assist with warehouse and retail logistics operations.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Must have completed 90 days commercial driving within in the last 6 months, for insurance purposes.
• Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties.
• Be reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
• Have good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Previous experience in logistics, delivery driving, warehouse work, or retail would be advantageous.
