Job summary

Wales & West Housing Association Limited is offering a 6-month fixed-term Extra Care Assistant opportunity at Maes Y Mor Extra Care Scheme in Aberystwyth. The role combines catering and cleaning duties, with 12 hours allocated to the Catering Assistant position and scope to take on cleaning shifts as needed.

We are seeking friendly, reliable and flexible individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment, either as part of a team or independently.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; willingness to learn.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable interacting with residents in a respectful way.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine cleaning of communal areas following schedules and infection control.
• Serve residents meals and help set up/clear dining areas.
• Assist in kitchen with small prep tasks and keep areas clean and tidy.
• Follow food hygiene and safety standards and report concerns promptly.
