Job summary

Carers Support is recruiting a Carers Breaks Co-ordinator to support unpaid carers in South Gloucestershire. The role is 22.5 hours per week, funded initially until June 2028, with a full time equivalent salary of £26,253.

This fixed-term post sits within our Carers Time Team, coordinating volunteer sitters and matching carers to breaks. You will recruit and train volunteers, promote breaks services and work with families to ensure accessible, high-quality support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop a high quality ‘sitting service’ for carers in South Gloucestershire.
• Recruit, train and support a team of volunteer ‘sitters’.
• Promote and refer carers to short breaks opportunities and external breaks service as appropriate.
