Job summary

Caring Together Charity is seeking warm-hearted Part-time Care Professionals to join our team in the Earith area. You will provide person-centred care during visits, support with daily living, and help maintain independence for individuals in their own homes or local communities.

We offer flexible patterns, paid travel time and mileage, and a Real Living Wage with minimum 16 hours per week, plus opportunities for progression.

• Attitude and passion for providing high standard of person-centred care are most important.
• A full driving licence and own vehicle are essential.

• Provide person-centred care during visits, helping with daily living and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Support outings, appointments, social visits and errands in home or community settings.
• Signpost carers and families to relevant services and information.
• Deliver care with independence, choice, and respect for the person’s goals.

Job description

Role: Part-time Care Professional (Care Worker)

Hours: Minimum 16 hours per week with option to increase after probation period

Salary: Starting rate Day - £13.52, Evening - £14.04, Weekends/bank holidays - £15.60 NVQ Level 3 or above rate Day - £13.73, Evening - £14.25, Weekends/bank holidays - £15.81 Plus paid travel time and mileage at 35p per mile

Location and travel: Earith and surrounding area. Candidates need to live within a 15-mile radius of Earith. You must be willing to travel to support appointments, social visits, and errands. A full driving licence and your own vehicle is essential.

Work patterns: Our support visits are at least an hour in length. For this role we are providing care support between 4pm and 10pm and between 7am and 10pm on the alternate weekends.

About the role

Are you a compassionate and caring individual who has always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives?

Supporting people in their daily lives is varied, and no two days are the same. You may help someone develop new skills, provide personal and emotional support, assist with managing their home, or support participation in leisure activities and community life. Support may be provided in people’s own homes or within their local communities. You will also play a proactive role in signposting people and their families to relevant services and sources of support.

As part of the Care team, you will deliver flexible, high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, choice, and control. Working with people of all ages and a wide range of needs, you will help individuals achieve their personal goals and positive outcomes while working closely with colleagues and teams that provide information, advice, and support to unpaid carers.

We require all employees to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS check will be renewed every three years.

What we need from you

• A full driving licence and your own vehicle is essential.
• Experience is not essential for this role, a kind and compassionate nature is more important and full training will be given – we value your attitude and willingness to learn.
• A natural communicator with excellent customer service skills.
• An understanding of person-centred care.
• Strong communication skills.
• Competent using various systems on a mobile phone to update care plans and check on your scheduled visits.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care for the people we support, when required.
