Job summary

Aurem Care is seeking a Maintenance person to keep our premises and grounds in excellent condition, ensuring residents have a safe and pleasant environment to live in.

The role involves basic electrical checks, repairs coordination with engineers, daily fire checks, and regular maintenance tasks. Candidates should have hands-on maintenance experience, a valid driving licence, and IT literate capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must have maintenance experience e.g. minor electrical, plumbing, joinery.
• Knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations.
• Previously worked in a care environment would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs as required or contact engineers/service agent where applicable.
• Undertake basic visual electrical checks on all equipment, reporting faults to the Home Manager and Electrical Contractor.
• Ensure daily/weekly/monthly fire checks are completed including the fire alarm system, extinguishers, doors and sprinklers.
