Job summary

Skycare is seeking a proactive Care Home Maintenance Technician to support a nursing home environment in the Wolverhampton area. The role involves general maintenance, basic plumbing, electrical work, and safety compliance to keep residents safe and comfortable.

We offer flexible hours with both full-time and part-time options, at £13.30 per hour. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in maintenance, experience in care settings, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance role.
• Previous care home/ healthcare setting experience is desirable.
• Good working knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and general building maintenance.
• Experience carrying out PAT testing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the care home environment.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance work.
• Maintain flooring, fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
• Replace light bulbs and ensure all areas are safe and well-presented.
• Conduct PAT testing and support health and safety compliance.
