Job summary

University of Bath is seeking a reliable and proactive part-time Cleaner Porter to join the Campus Services team in Cleaning and Portering. A typical day includes cleaning, waste handling, moving items, assisting with event setups and responding to requests from building users.

Regular lifting is involved, with hours 5:00am-10:00am, Monday to Friday and occasional weekend work. The role is permanent and part-time (25 hours per week) with a pro-rata approach to bonuses and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Support room setups for events, meetings and teaching activities.
• Respond to reactive requests from building users and facilities teams.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of materials and supplies.
• Provide a visible, helpful presence for students, staff and visitors.
