Job summary

UPP (Plymouth Three) Limited is seeking a Cleaner for its Plymouth campus. This part-time role runs 25 hours per week, 9.30am–2.30pm, Monday to Friday, on a 6-month fixed-term contract with a salary of £16,930.65 per year.

Responsibilities include cleaning communal areas and resident spaces, liaising with residents and staff, and adhering to Health & Safety guidelines. DBS checks may be required, and additional duties may arise during peak arrival weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience of cleaning in a similar environment.
• Good communication and organisation skills.
• Prepared to undergo vetting and DBS checks as part of recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, spot clean and shampoo carpets.
• Sweep and polish floors and stairs.
• Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators, lampshades as appropriate.
• Empty waste bins and remove rubbish from flats to bin store areas.
• Daily liaison with residents, Residence Managers and UPP staff.
• Follow Health & Safety policies at all times.
• Summer duties: make beds and change sheets; collect and pack laundry.
• Clean internal and external windows where applicable; wash glasses and cutlery.
